The short version

We don’t come from a long line of beekeepers. We didn’t inherit a farm. And we’re not here to romanticize honey. We’re here to raise the bar—on quality, transparency, and what honey can be.

From Canoe Cove to the North Shore

Canoe Cove Honey began on a farm along Prince Edward Island’s south shore. Today, our bees thrive in the wild landscapes of PEI’s eastern north shore, foraging from coastal fields, forest edges, and blooming pastures.

We're not generational beekeepers

We didn’t grow up around hives. We chose this work because it offered a rare opportunity: to build something meaningful, stay grounded in nature, and create a product that’s both physical and functional.

We’ve learned, our “outsider” perspective is an asset. It gives us permission to question the industry status quo, rethink outdated processes, and focus on the things that actually matter: bee health, honey quality, and ecosystem impact.

We treat honey like it matters

Every jar we produce comes from small-batch harvests, carefully handled to retain the properties that make raw honey special. We use minimal processing, low-temperature techniques, and intentional creaming methods to preserve the enzymes, antioxidants, and floral volatiles that make honey a living ingredient, not just a sweetener.

  • Our Commitment

We care deeply about pollinators—both honey bees and native species—and the role they play in sustaining life and agriculture on PEI. We believe that good honey can’t exist without a healthy ecosystem, and that our job is to support both.
